Frost Hill Farms is a family owned business operated by Jim and Patti Bastedo. Jim and Patti have lived and raised their children on the farm at 553 Glover Road in Clyde, New York for more than 25 years. Over the years, Jim has worked with livestock on the farm, both large and small, including beef cattle, horses, and pigs. He grew up less than one mile from the property that would one day become their home and has hunted, trapped, and fished this area extensively since his teenage years.

Approximately 15 years ago, a new neighbor, who is a well-known dog trainer and breeder, moved in next door. He soon not only became a good friend, but also Jim’s introduction into the dog world. Over the next few years, while watching training and attending testing events, Jim’s interest in having a training and testing facility of his own started to grow.

The first training pond on the farm was created approximately ten years ago, with the design help of his neighbor. Since then, many dogs have been trained on the property and Jim has personally helped train a number of these dogs.
